Washington C. Kilpatrick Jr.

Washington C. Kilpatrick, Jr.

February 24, 1950 - November 18, 2015

In Loving Memory of Washington C. Kilpatrick Jr., beloved son to Thelma Kilpatrick, father to Mackenzie and Crawford Kilpatrick, grandfather, and very dear friend of Team RSI and a friend to many.....

Washington, who was proud of his Cherokee heritage, was an active member of the UNACC - United Native American Cultural Center based in Devens, Massachusetts. There, in 2008, he met RSI's Owner, Doria Kutrubes, and became best friends. While Washington owned and operated Cherokee Wash Painting Company, and was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and bow hunter, he always found time to help us out at RSI.

Washington was training one of the CPRA's younger members how to operate a magnetometer and collect data as part of looking for a late 1600's burial site. Washington also volunteered for other RSI pro-bono projects, such as a GPR-magnetic survey in Gill Massachusetts with the town of Gill, and the Wampanoag and Narragansett Tribes.

A UNACC Facebook friend posted, "Washington had a good heart and was a friend to many. He had the gift of gab, always with a story to tell....". He was a great father and friend. It was an honor to know such a great man. We will continue to miss his sense of humor and stories, and honor him by keeping him in our memories.
